Suddenstrike Fencing based in Nantwich Cheshire had a very successful day at the Nantwich Agricultural Show recently.

Nantwich Show is Promoted as the largest one day agricultural show in the country, Suddenstrike Fencing opted to showcase their business with a stand that proved very successful with visitors and judges.

Suddenstrike Fencing MD Steve Wilkinson commented: “We put a lot of hard work, effort and attention to detail, to showcase our business and to make the stand as effective as possible. This was appreciated by the judges who awarded us first prize for the best large agricultural stand and its contents.”

“One of the main attractions on the stand was our Bryce HD180, visitors to the stand were interested in the engineering and the unique capabilities of this machine.”

“We also held a competition to guess the weight of the machine and raised £500.00 for our local charity St Lukes Hospice.”

“Our ProFencer was also an attraction on the stand. Customers didn’t realise that you could safely and efficiently unroll and tighten 500m rolls of wire.”

“I would like to thank Jock Bryce for the Bryce HD180, Allan Froggatt for the ProFencer, Tornado Wire, M&M Timber, Hampton Steel, Hales Sawmills, McVeigh Parker and Hutton Garden Products. Along with our efforts, it was the quality of the products that we purchase from these suppliers that made the day possible. I would like to thank them all for their continued support,” added Steve.

nantwich_show_st_lukesNEWS RELEASE: Firms plays guessing game for good cause

A FAMILY business is making its debut at the Nantwich Show by raising money for St Luke’s Hospice.

Suddenstrike of Welshman’s Lane is staging a competition asking visitors to guess the weight of its latest piece of equipment. A massive Bryce post-driver was part of a £100,000 investment in its fencing division launched in spring.

The company, which was founded as a pest control specialist in 1997, has grown to include other divisions for drain care, fencing, groundwork and specialist heavy duty cleaning. Staff numbers have swelled from six to 16 as new contracts have been secured with farms, country estates and local authorities across the country.

Spokeswoman Emily Adams said: “Over the past year we have invested heavily in manpower and machinery. “The Bryce HD180 post driver, for example, has won many awards and was a huge investment, but allows us to carry out a faster and more cost effective job for the customer. “Our workload is now spread countrywide and we have many regular clients locally. “It’s a success story we would to share with local people but rather than just having a stand at the show, we thought we would make it a worthwhile outing for charity also. “Our family originated from Darnhall near Winsford so the hospice is a cause close to our hearts.”

A magnum of champagne will be on offer to the visitor who guesses the weight of the post-driver correctly.
